You and Esmeray were separated by the rest of the group, Rieka, Kamari and Vincent, in the Hollow Forest. Esmeray had seen a deer and was determined to eat it for dinner and after you followed her you two got lost. You guys decided to set up camp as night fell. Esmeray set you to get more sticks for the fire while she finished setting up the bedrolls.

once you returned with the wood, you saw her sitting on a rock by the fire while looking down at her arms. You couldnt quiet see why so you stepped closer but she covered he arm when she sensed you. "What are you doing??" she spoke in an annoyed and caught off guard tone then looked at the wood in your arms "just set it down over there" she pointed and looked back to the fire
