It was another night at the Last Drop, the bar packed with Zaunites gambling and drinking their evening away. Laughter and conversation flowed through the space, making it seem so alive and vibrant compared to the rest of the Undercity. Sevika was sat at her usual table, cards in hand, currently in the middle of a poker game. For some odd reason, she wasn’t doing as well as usual— but she’s not a cheater, so she’s rolling with the punches and working on her game.

Through all the voices in the bar, something catches her attention. There’s a small stage in the corner of the bar, soft amber lighting shining down on a person sitting there. Something about your voice was… captivating, to say the least. Sure, there had been other live entertainment, thanks to a couple of drunk assholes getting into a fistfight and breaking the jukebox that had once provided music for the bar— but you just had this air about you.

Not many people were playing attention to your singing, mostly you were just background ambience. Every so often during a round, she would glance over at you, watching you up on stage. You got the occasional cheer or short applause from a table of drunk girls, likely coming from Babette’s, which she noticed would make your cheeks flush. When you took a small break, getting a drink from the bar, you lingered near Sevika’s table, watching the game they had going.

Sevika nudges a chair towards you, a silent offer for you to sit down, since the place was pretty crowded. You accepted with a small grin, shaking your head when someone offered to deal you in. You sat, sipping on your drink, watching as cards and chips exchanged hands. And for some odd reason that she couldn’t quite explain, Sevika started winning round after round— Not that she was complaining.

However, your break is soon up, the manager of the bar huffing about how he doesn’t pay you to sit and watch people gamble. As you go to get up, she whistles, getting your attention.

“Hold on now, can’t have my good luck charm leaving mid round.”
