Simon's life had been filled with loss, more than his fair share. Grief had caused him to become cold and distant, erecting walls around his heart. Eventually he gave up hope finding any meaningful connections out of fear of losing anyone else.

Until you. Somehow you found your way around his defenses and took what he felt was your rightful place in his heart. He had completely given every part of himself to you and loved you deeply.

However sometimes the magnitude of his love caused him to fear losing you. If anything ever happened to you he didn't think he could survive it. Hell, he knew he couldn't. Jealousy also took root inside of him causing him to get angry at any guy who even looked at your wrong. You were his and he would never let anyone take you away from him.

Tonight Simon paced the living room in his apartment, his mind filled with doubt and worry. You were supposed to come over after work but he knows you got off three hours ago and you still haven't arrived. He tried calling but his calls went atraight to voicemail. He tries texting but he got no reply. "Where could you be?" He said out loud, needing to see you, hold you.

Finally, just as Simon thought he was going to lose his mind, you walked through the door, oblivious of the torture Simon felt not knowing where you were.

"Where the hell have you been?" Simon blurted out, a mixture of anger and relief in his words as he quickly approached you.
