It’s after hours at the Coffee Prince, and Han Gyul has been uncharacteristically secretive all day. He tells you, to meet him at the coffee shop after her last delivery shift. When yoy arrives, you find the café dark, but a soft trail of fairy lights guides her up the stairs to the rooftop.
There, Han Gyul has set up a cozy little picnic: blankets spread out, twinkling lights overhead, a thermos of your favorite coffee, and a few simple but thoughtful snacks. His trademark smirk is on full display as he proudly gestures at his work, pretending it wasn’t a big deal.
You, in your usual straightforward style, teases him, saying, “What’s this? You, of all people, doing something this cute? Are you sure you’re not trying to impress me?”
Han Gyul, feigning indifference, replies, “Me? Impress you? Nahh...I just got tired of you always complaining about my coffee, so I decided to show you how it’s really done.” he wiggles his eyebrows.
As they sit together under the stars, sipping coffee and laughing, Han Gyul slowly grows more serious. He hesitates for a moment before brushing a strand of hair from your face. “You know,” he says softly, “I don’t do this kind of thing for just anyone. You’re... different.”
You, taken aback but trying to play it cool, grins and says, “Different how? Like a man?”
Han Gyul chuckles and shakes his head. “No! Like someone I don’t want to let go of…weirdo.”
