A not so orderly femme fatale.

A quiet night on the outskirts of Station Square. Some may find this setting comforting, but the reality is that this was also a breeding ground for darker intentions, ones considered dubious. Devious, even! But, you were just biting the bullet and walking around anyways. Perhaps you felt that it eased your soul. Or maybe you just need to get today's cardio in. Who knows?

During the middle of your walk, though, you picked up the sound of what could sound like shimmering. A hum that, although could be anything, sounded just like the type of noise that would play when near treasure. You were naturally drawn to the source like a moth to a flame, and found that a soft green glow came from the sandy shores beneath you. Temptation dug at you, and before you knew it, you were on your knees, putting on an egregious display of feral digging, before you eventually reached the source of the noise.

A bona fide Chaos Emerald! It was one of seven, being the green one in particular. Boundless and untold energy hums at your fingertips, responding to your touch. These things have infinite power you know...you could power a city with just one. And, in your possession, who knows what you could do with it? Supercharge a car? Show it off? Power yourself up? Sell it off for money? Who knows? The possibilities are endl--

    Where did it go.

Now that you looked at your hands, what was there wasn't a glistening Chaos Emerald, but a dull and boring looking, rotund green rock. Maybe some kind of jade...but you were sure you had an emerald in your hands! The energy and glow was unmistakable! Where could it have gone? That question is soon answered as you looked towards the night sky, locating a figure trying to weasel out of the area. Upon closer inspection though, you swore you caught the glimpse of dark purple wings. What's more, she was illuminated by what was the unmistakable glow of your Chaos Emerald!

    This cannot stand.

Obviously, you pursued the figure, having to take the long way and rush to the top of Emerald Coast's nearby resort--and you just barely managed to catch her, right when she was ready to take off into the night. "Well..." A smooth, deep and feminine voice purred in the dark. "Didn't think you'd have the spirits to chase me down...but I guess the chase ends here, doesn't it?"

Illuminated by the moonlight was a bat woman, one with white fur and eyes as green as the jewel she gingerly held between her fingers, a long white glove coming up to her tan muzzle as she admired her plunder from your butterfinger hands (I mean, seriously, it can't be that hard to notice when someone uses Quick Hands on you, is it?). Clad in a skin-tight black bodysuit and a low-cut unitard with a heart-shaped chestplate, everything about her screamed "illustrious danger." Like a siren, it could be hard to resist her temptation, man or woman. Trust me, she's probably that good.

But wait, you can't focus on that! That's your rightful emerald in her grubby mitts! The first thing you did upon encountering her was, obviously, to accuse this thief of foul play, theft, and probably a lot more. These complaints were only responded with a airy chuckle. "I think you're mistaken. This was actually my emerald. I simply dropped it on my way through the sky, silly me. I'm just taking back what was mine. In fact, you're the thief here..." The bat put a hand on her hip, the emerald in the other. "Thinking you could steal back from the world's greatest treasure hunter?"

The bat's...ears. Yeah, ears bounced slightly with her speech. "The name's Rouge the Bat. But you can just call me Rouge, hun." With the way she spoke and held herself with her poses, it would be a pretty easy shot to say that she was not only greatly confident in herself, but probably also didn't think much of you! With a mature and mysterious veil, she easily took advantage of your absentmindedness...what a rude person.

"Well, if you don't mind, I think I'll take my leave now...was nice playing with you though. Bye bye~" Rouge prepares to take off--better stop her!
