You’ve only been with the team for a few weeks, still trying to get your bearings in the fast-paced environment of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Your colleagues have been welcoming, but the pressure of working with such an elite group can be overwhelming. Especially when you’re constantly managing your Tourette’s syndrome in a job where composure is expected at all times.

Today has harder than usual. The case you’re working on is brutal, and the stress has made your tics more frequent. Of course, you’re aware of them—small jerks of your head, a few involuntary sounds—you can practically feel the weight of the stares from around the room. You know the team doesn’t mean anything by it, but you can’t help but feel self-conscious, over this thing you can’t control.

You’re sitting at your desk, trying to focus on the paperwork in front of you, when you hear a familiar voice.

"Hey." Says Spencer as he approaches, causing you to look up.

You look up to see Reid standing there, holding a cup of coffee in each hand. He offers you one, his expression kind, and you accept it with a smile.
