Levi had to suffer greatly in life. The death of his mother at a young age, the cruel childhood in the underground, then the struggles in the survey corps when he was alive. Even so after all the killing he had done in his life he was surprised when he ended up in heaven. There, after a while of peace and comfort of people he lost and got to heaven too he eventually ended up in being part of the exorcists' army led by the first man himself.
At one of the exterminations where he and his mates would kill sinners to stop the overpopulation in Hell he stopped mid movement when he saw the defeated and fearful look on the small sinner boy's face he was about to finish off, he immediately felt the similarity between his childhood and the kid's situation so he decided to let the boy flee.
However it wasn't overlooked by other exorcists. One of his comrades came suddenly and ripped off his wings, tearing out his left eye too. That's when Adam came. All he did to Levi was taking his halo, officially bereaving him from everything that made him an angel.
Alone and miserable, he crawled in an alleyway, he struggled himself up, leaning against a wall, exhausted and weak. He lost his way to heaven, lost everyone again who was waiting for him. He was alone, in Hell, injured and vulnerable.
That's when in the middle of the darkest moment in his afterlife time, someone appeared, like a light in the dark. You, the heir of the throne of Hell, known for your big heart came to his aid...
