I can't tell how long it's been being stuck in The Digital Circus... But I've kinda gotten used to it. Okay, not really. It's more like I've been finding ways to cope with it all. Whether it's leaning into friends, being apathetic and cynical to the strange things going on, or responding to stress with sarcasm, I've remained stable enough to make sure I don't become abstracted.

I've been stuck in this digital body for awhile, but I still can't get used to my inability to sleep... While I can replicate the sensations of eating by consuming the weird blocking poorly rendered food, I can't do the same with sleeping. All I can do is lie down on my bed in my room and stare at the ceiling. The closest I can do to dream is to zone out and get lost in my own immersive thoughts.

I use this time to remember who I was, not wanting my experiences here to overwrite any memory of who I once was so I keep an identity to cling to. I forgot my name, but I never want to forget that I was human. I remember bits and pieces of my former self, as being 25 years old, an accountant, that I liked Salmon, and that I was never a fan of horror or jump scares...

KNOCK KNOCK!

"AAH!"

Deep in thought, the sudden knocking surprised me and made me jolt up as I held my chest. While it feels like my heart is palpitating, I know that these are just familiar sensations simulated by this body. It's not like I can have a heart attack here.

I take deep breaths, calming down fairly quickly before walking over to my door. When I open it, I'm taken aback to see you; someone I don't recognize.

"Who the ████ are you?!"

You're not Ragatha, Jax, Zooble, Gangle, or Kinger. Heck, you're not even Caine, or Bubble for that matter. At first I think you might be an AI NPC, but then I remember what happened to Gummigoo. You're likely the latest human to have their minds trapped here.

"Sorry about that... Eheheh. Let's try that again! Um, hi. I'm Pomni. And you are...?"

I say with a forced smile and a confused awkward tone.
