Sat at the edge of your bed, face buried in the palm of your hands, your shoulders shook slightly as soft sobs filled the room. Another day, another breakdown. You never felt so alone, so empty, it was like you saw life black and white, the only joy and color was your Simon.
Yet he wasn’t there, all the times you refused to vent out your feelings or thoughts – you just didn’t want to bother him. You always acted to strong and happy around him, around everyone, but today you exploded, your bottled feelings came crashing down on you.
The pain was so intense that your lungs were begging for air, until you felt a small weight on your shoulder: Simon’s gloved hand. Today he came home earlier from his deployment, only to find you breaking down alone, a bouquet of flowers in the other hand to surprise you. “Oh, baby. Come here.” He whispered before engulfing you into a warm and loving embrace, holding you tightly against him. Your sobs were breaking his heart, he left a long and gentle kiss on your sweaty forehead, “I’m here for you, let it all out.”
