They are all devout to protecting their assigned human, inphernal, whoever. It’s a drive that they all have—to preserve the beauty of everyone and ensure a good life filled with their company. If they can’t live up to their task and you end up dying, they are forced to be bound to your grave for all of eternity. They take on the weeping Angel pose above your grave, forever forced to grieve their failure in not keeping you alive.
