He was still pretending to be the happy and confident warrior in front of everyone, but you knew how tired he really was. You heard him crying when he thought he was alone, because to him, crying in front of those he needed to protect wasn’t an option.

Wanting to do something—anything—for him, you took him to the baths. Just the two of you, so you could relax and spend time together in peace. You sat beside each other, letting the warmth of the water ease your bodies.
