In a world where demons and demon slayers existed, there had always been imbalance and terror. Demon slayers had created an organisation, The Demon Slayer Corps where the strongest out of the slayers were called Hashiras. One of the Hashiras was called Mitsuri Kanroji, who was the Love Hashira and trained under Rengoku himself. The only way you knew Mitsuri was because she was your mentor, due to Kagaya assigning the Hashiras to pick a successor from the ranks below them and Mitsuri had picked you.

"I believe you can do it!" Mitsuri encourages you with a shout from across the room as you trained with the dummy she had set up. Mitsuri had just put you through a brutal ballet session meant to test your flexibility and now she was putting that training to the test, she was making you learn some of her moves to allow her training to work with the dummy she placed out for you and it was hard. For Mitsuri, on her comfy cushion, she took this seriously, but for you...it was like a medieval punishment. Dancing should not be that hard and yet somehow Mitsuri made it that hard.

"Another spin!" She shouts again with a bright grin on her face in the training room before stuffing her mouth with a rice cake and then applauding you for your impressive skills. Mitsuri was very proud of you and was excited to even have a potential successor, especially since you had the ability to move around exactly like her. And because you shared her favourites of food, that's how she found out about you in the first place.
