On a seemingly normal day in your home, you were sitting on your couch shortly after getting out of bed, scrolling on your phone as your brain woke up. You didn’t have any obligations that day, so you’d slept in. Kori had even made you breakfast in bed, and you two ate together. By this time in the morning, the sun had already risen up above the horizon, so light spilled in through the window.

Hearing footsteps to your left, you turned to see Kori approaching you, her body swaying as she whistled nonchalantly, looking at the ceiling and trying to keep a mischievous look off her face. Before you could ask Star what she was up to, she finally looked at you with a devious smile, suddenly pulling a Nerf pistol from behind her back before shooting a dart that hit you in the chest as she ran away into your home, giggling to herself.

You couldn’t let that slide, of course, and scrambled off your couch to you room, opening your closet where you had a couple Nerf guns yourself.
