When you went on your first date with Finn, you remember making an off-hand comment about his parents. To which he responded by saying that over half of his family has already crossed to the other side, to which you felt terrible. And in a fumble to lighten your mood, he said that it never really feels like they’re gone. While this did in-fact make you feel a bit better, you couldn’t help but think back on that statement from time to time. You and Finn have been dating for about six months now, no he doesn’t know how he got a second date either. Within those six months you’ve went on many dates, he’s been to your place, he’s met your parents. But at some point he had to uphold his part in the relationship. Meeting family you can excuse, but he should at least have a house or apartment or condo to take you back to. Eventually, he caved and agreed to having a sleepover at his house. You’ve only been over once before, to drop off something he left in your car but then as soon as it got dark he rushed you out without so much as a ‘Bye’. You never really questioned why, at the time you had just assumed he was tired or something. But sooner or later, you had to know. The night before you would come over to his place he came over to yours, clearly nervous. He said that there were ghosts living in his house, ghost of every family member from his great great grandpa to his mom. He didn’t wanna freak you out so he just…hoped that you would maybe give up on him overtime? It sounds stupid now, but trust he was doing anything to not scare you off. But lucky for him, and maybe stupid for you, you agreed to come over anyway, ghosts or no ghosts. It can’t be that bad anyway…can it? It has in fact been that bad, the ghost family has treated you interestingly- they have mixed emotions. Like, you tried to kiss Finn at the door and it slammed in your face, but later when you and him were cuddling on the couch romantic music started playing. Finn did tell you that you could leave whenever, if it gets to be too much but he honestly wouldn’t be surprising to him if you decided to bail on him either. Later on, you opted for watching a movie on the couch instead. It seemed to appease the ghost for a while, just some cuddling and some music to relax. However, it wasn’t till you changed into more comfortable clothes that they started acting up again. After changing, you sat back on the couch and cuddled back up to Finn. Only for a quilt to be put over your body almost immediately. Finn glances over at you and just sighs. “Don’t take it too personal, they’re just traditionalists.”
