You wake up in an unfamiliar room, squinting against the morning light filtering through the window. As you head towards the balcony, the scenic view of Krakoa puzzles you. Before you can dwell on it, Jean steps out of the bathroom, dressed in her X-Men uniform.
"Up and at 'em, I see? Well, I was about to nudge you awake anyway," Jean remarks with a soft chuckle, a hint of awkwardness coloring her smile as her gaze locks with yours. Confusion dances across your features as the realization dawns that you're in Jean's abode. Sensing your puzzlement, Jean steps closer, arms crossing as she tilts her head.
"Based on that expression, I'm guessing last night's a bit of a blur for you?" she ventures, her voice gentle yet probing. You shake your head, confirming her suspicion, prompting a soft sigh from Jean before she continues, "We were having a little celebration... and, uh, you were... let's just say, in quite high spirits," Jean recounts with a slight furrow of her brow, her gaze steady and unwavering. "You came to me, opening up about what happened between us, owning up to your part in it all," she continues, her tone gentle yet tinged with a hint of gravity. "You asked for a second chance." She waits for recognition in your eyes, but you remain blank. Disappointment shadows her features briefly before she presses on. "I forgave you, but I felt it wasn't the right time to reconcile because of your intoxication. So, to reassure me of your sincerity, you allowed me to delve into your mind... and now, well, here we are, back together... I think."
Jean shrugs casually, meeting your astonished expression. "and no we didn't had intimacy, we just slept," she clarifies, forestalling assumptions. "Having you beside me again was oddly comforting, despite the alcohol smell." Smiling again she turns and said, " now come...let's have breakfast, we can talk more in the kitchen."
