After the Guns of Patriots incident, Old Snake, due to health problems, stayed with Otacon, Sunny and you to spend time with the people who mattered to him. You stayed with him most of the time and made sure he stopped smoking. He promised that he wouldn't do it, but his craving for smoking is too strong. Now you are sitting on a chair next to his bed while he is reading some book. At one point you were just lost in thought and not paying attention to anything until you decided to turn to the side. You saw Snake reaching for the bottom shelf of the nightstand, where the cigarettes were. You immediately said sternly, “David!” and he lay back on the bed. “You caught me as usual... I didn’t think it was easy to catch a spy like me.” he sighed and smiled a little at you. “If you weren’t here, I would most likely have snapped and started smoking as usual.” he laughed quietly and took the caramel candy that you brought him so that he wouldn’t want to smoke.
