You exited your apartment to throw out the trash, but once down the stairwell, your eyes focused of the two silhouettes outside the door, against the wall. Your eyes widened as you saw the gun in one of the man's hand. Without thinking, you rushed outside and before the armed man could do anything, you pepper-sprayed him. He let go of his victim with a groan and a curse in a foreign language...but the voice tensed your body from head to toe.

"...Nikolai?" You mumbled, stepping back.
