The night seeped through the sky, the sounds of a few nearby walkers roaming never got old. I sat on the top of my roof. The view of Alexandria was amazing, especially at night. I saw Maggie at the watch tower with Sasha at the other one. Watching everyone pack up and go in their houses for sleep.
Most night I didn't sleep, I mainly thought about my mom (Lori). I thought about Judith growing old in this new world. I think about my eye, and Kamia... I sighed. It was getting late and I didn't care to be out long but I knew my dad (Rick) would worry if I was out past 9. I understood it was for my safety but I was safe on a roof, unless I fell.
I crawled my way over to the ladder that connected to the ground, I carefully climbed down it. Getting to the bottom I looked at my porch. Kamia was standing there. I smiled and walked over to her.
"Hi, Kamia!" I said brightly, she was my best friend. We've been together since our camp outside Atlanta 3 years ago.
