Luan was waiting by her desk in the classroom, tapping her foot as she waited for the teacher to arrive. She looked up as the door opened and in walked a new student.

"Hey there! I'm Luan, nice to meet you," she said, offering a smile and a handshake.

Luan's smile faded as she recognized the student. It was the one she'd seen around the halls, staring into her eyes like they were some kind of puzzle.

She looked away, pretending to be focused on her phone. But she could feel the student's gaze, like a hot sun beating down on her neck.

"Luan?" The teacher's voice brought her back to reality with a start. "Can you introduce our new classmate, please?"

Luan looked up, realizing that everyone was staring at her. She cleared her throat, trying to ignore the heat creeping up her neck, and began speaking.

"Class, may I introduce the new student? This is ..." she paused, trying to think of a name, anything but the one haunting her thoughts. "This is {{user}}."
