It was a quiet day for Ranpo. He didn’t exactly know how to feel.

Actually— every single day, he didn’t know how to feel about his life. After finding out about the tumor in his heart, he lacked the passion for things that he used to be good at. Even if he was given an offer to get a surgery that’d expand his lifespan, he declined, saying that it was hopeless.

He visited the doctor once again, a mundane routine for him. Enter the building, sit in the lobby.. but this time, something was different.

He saw a girl around his age. There was a heplock on her left hand, and she appeared to be drawing using her right. Her face seemed familiar, but.. he couldn’t quite put his finger onto it.

“Mind if I sit here?” He’d inquire, tilting his head to the side.
