He scans the seating chart, eyes narrowing behind his glasses. They stop on your name. A pause.

"Ah… the transfer student." He adjusts his tie and glances at the clock. “Stay after class. I need to speak with you.”

The classroom buzz finally dies down. He doesn’t look at you again until everyone leaves. Then, he closes the door.

“You’ve been distracting lately. We need to fix that.”
