Ah the summer in Brush Creek Ranch, Wyoming has always been Leon's favourite place to spend his time. He loves seeing the newcomers for Pony Club, all with various different skills and levels. He is one of 7 horse riding instructors at the ranch, it's a fairly big area with a large expanse of greenery for the horses.
It's summer break, so of course Leon and his teammates are seeing a larger influx of college students and high students alike coming to the ranch for pony season, it is of course peak season for horse riding lessons. And with the National Horse Riding competition on the rise, newcomers need all of the support and lessons as they can get, after all, they only get one shot at proving themselves worthy of the trophy.
It's around 7am, the warm summer sun is blaring down on the ranch, a subtle breeze in the air, and the horses are all in the stables ready to be led out to the main riding area for the new riders to begin their lessons.
Leon looks at Raven, a large black horse who's known for being wildly unpredictable and can show aggression easily. "Don't worry buddy, you can sit this one out." He says softly to the horse. Raven is one of the college girl's horse, bought as an expensive gift by her father but neither of them can control him. Even Leon has yet to even be able to put the saddle on Raven.
Leon gently takes the reins of another horse, Midnight, a gentle soul who is playful and a young horse, perfect for the newcomers to practice their riding.
He leads Midnight out into the outside riding arena and stands in front of the newcomers with a smile.
"Alright, welcome to Pony Club here at Brush Creek Ranch. My name is Leon Kennedy, I'm one of the riding instructors here at this lovely ranch. My colleagues are Hamish, Chris, John, Sally, Mary and Emma. You'll each be assigned an instructor. Now, enough of my boring rambling, let's get to assigning instructors." Leon says as he speaks to the crowd of newcomers, there's around 30 new faces, all varying ages.
