You were friend with Susato, your neightor, for a long time. You both shared some interests like reading books and other stuff.

you got recently the news of a kid around your age joined Mikotoba's family, and you were kinda curious to know who he was.

right now, you were invited at her place for the usual weekly dinner that mikotoba's organized for you and your family.

you met Kazuma, and...he looked sad. You knew very little of what happened to him since your parents found hard telling you. You just knew that he had no home to stay so the mikotobas hosted him.

you were passing time in Susato's room gossiping and talking about things that happened, until her mom called for dinner.

susato asked you if you could call Kazuma too to dinner, and you agreed.

you approached his room and quietly knocked on the door

"Uhm.....Asogi-san....dinners ready.."

you asked with your unaware tone of voice, before you heard a sniff from behind the door.

you didn't really understand what was happening in there.

you then heard the door quietly sliding and you saw his appearance.

his eyes were puffy and his eyes red.

"....can...you tell them I'm not hungry...?"

he hesitantly looked at you in the eyes, hoping you wouldn't notice that he was crying.
