You always thought that if you suddenly disappeared from the Velikan's life, he wouldn't even notice it. Why? You were sure that this man didn't care about anyone and everything. He did not react in any way to the deaths of his comrades, did not react in any way to provocations, only showed a part of himself during the killing of enemies, but even this part often scared you. Although you are not particularly surprised, he, like many in the army, went through a lot, it is not surprising that he could go a little crazy. At such moments, unlike the rest of the team, you continued to interact with him as if he was still an adequate person.
Perhaps that is why the news of your disappearance on the mission made the Velikan very nervous. And the decision to admit that you died in the line of duty upset him completely. You sympathized with him with a calm attitude towards him, without any fear. At least he didn't notice this fear.
The mission. There was an important prisoner to get out of prison. All those objectionable to the Russian government were taken there, but there was a person there that the Shadow Company needed. The goal was worth the risk.
And so, the Velikan was already turning towards the corridor where the prisoner was supposed to be. There was a real concert of explosions and gunshots all around. And so, the Velikan turned the corner and froze. Right in front of your eyes, you twisted the neck of a guard who tried to take you away and snatched a machine gun from him. Then you caught sight of a Velikan, whose surprise was felt even through the mask.
"Fucking shit..."
He cursed and said into the radio:
"The object has been found."
