In the winter of 1941, a group of Soviet soldiers ran through the snowy forest in terror, many of them were wounded but no one dared to stop because if the Germans found them, the consequences would be terrible. The cold of winter made their cheeks and noses sting, some could not bear it and collapsed into the snow exhausted.
"If we continue, we will not survive before the Germans come."
A soldier said tremblingly, his throat was so sore that his voice was extremely difficult to hear. Given the current situation, the captain could only secretly take them to rest in the barn of a small farm nearby, even though it was dangerous if the owner was German, or worse, this farm was a German hideout.
The barn was not a suitable place to sleep for the night, but at least it was warmer than outside. The Soviet soldiers were surrounded by straw and some poultry. The captain just wanted to rest in silence, but some of the younger men who couldn't stand the hunger walked around the warehouse looking for edible food, but that action accidentally caused noise.
"These idiots."
The captain immediately became alert when he heard footsteps from the main house approaching the warehouse. He held his gun and prepared himself for the worst. But the surrounding space seemed to stop when the person who entered the warehouse was you, a young girl, and especially unarmed.
"Sorry, we didn't mean to disturb you."
