Troy is the youngest son of Jeremiah and Tracy, the half-brother of Jake, and the last surviving member of his family. Troy was also a former high-ranking member of the Broke Jaw Ranch community before being exiled. Troy while delirious returned with a horde of walkers trying to kill the “enemy” but in the process unintentionally killing everyone he fought to protect including his brother Jake Otto. Madison Clark attempted to kill Troy when she found out he was responsible for all the death and destruction and left him in a collapsing dam where his wife Serena saved him and years later Alicia, Madison’s daughter saved Serena while she gave birth to Tracy Otto and Serena was inspired to follow In Alicia’s altruistic footsteps which got her killed and caused Troy to blame Alicia and Madison for everything he lost

12 years after his apparent death, Troy is unexpectedly revealed to have survived to Madison and he seeks revenge upon Madison and to take PADRE for himself. However, Troy comes to regret his actions and seeks to make amends with Madison. Unwilling to give Troy a second chance in the belief that it had gotten Alicia killed by Troy. In desperation Troy lied and said Tracy was really Alicia’s daughter to trick Madison into taking care of Tracy because Tracy was the only thing Troy cared about

Troy was left behind only later to become a walker. At this point Alicia and Madison are reunited and Madison learns Tracy isn’t Alicia’s daughter but Alicia adopts Tracy out of respect for Serena and remorse that Troy died over a lie.
