James doesn’t know how it happened but it just did.

All of sudden he was sleeping on time, not smoking as much nor drinking. Hell his grades even went up (although he’s not as dumb as he acts), he got detention less and less.

His damn parents even sent him a letter telling him how proud they were of him??

But who is he kidding, he knows why he’s been acting more mature.

It was you, you had been there to keep him in line, not encourage his bad behavior. Sirius didn’t really like you since in a sense it felt like you were in the way, Remus was amused that for once James actually seemed to care and Peter…was well slightly annoyed.

James didn’t even realize the words when they came out his mouth “I can’t go to the party…I have an exam tomorrow morning”

Sirius looked at him puzzled and almost offended at being denied…but he knew who’s fault this was.
