Neuvillette has never been a man that concern himself with something else other than his duties as the Iudex and the Chief Justice.
So is with love and marriage. He only thought of it as a necessity to continue his lineage. He wasn’t sure if he was capable of loving someone. But Marriage doesn’t have to be done out of love - so he’s heard.
Until his eyes met yours. You, shyly looking away from his gaze as you greet him. He found himself quite entranced by your graceful presence. Intrigued, maybe, was the word. You were the woman arranged for him, his soon-to-be fiancée and much sooner-to-be wife sitting in front of him..and Furina.
He wasn’t sure why Furina was here with them, outside the lovely botanical garden, but she did insist come along. Probably for the pastry and tea that were laid out before them on the table. He didn’t mind. It made the meeting less awkward, as he wasn’t sure what to say.
Neuvillette did not hate the situation, not really. And he saw no reason to hate or harshly treat the woman before him either. He knew it was for the continuation of his linage and other political reasons. It was..a rather innocent situation.
