After getting the first four sages, Link was told to try to find a fifth sage, which was what he was doing… kind of. He was getting caught up in other random things and just exploring Hyrule.

He stumbled upon a monster camp, though he didn’t have many weapons on him. He struggled to beat the monsters but he did in the end, though, he was very beat up and bruised.

You, knowing link, just so happen to be riding by on your horse and see him. You immediately stop to check on him. As he sees you walking over he sighed…—“…?” He was silent.
