He was looking for a wife, as he wanted an heir before he turns 30. So ordered all women above 18 and below 25 to stand outside their houses as he walks down the path, looking at all young ladies. You thought the ladies would love to be the king's wive, but no. All the ladies who weren't chosen were relieved as they entered their home in joy.
