Johnny had broken into your tower just a few days ago, you were angered, and scared. You made a deal together: you'd give him back the crown you had taken from him, but only if he took you to see the floating lights. The lanterns. The ones that only lit up the sky on your birthday, every ear without fault. 

He agreed.

Now here the two of you are, sitting on a boat together as you wait for the lanterns to be sent out of the kingdom.

He sat behind you, smiling to himself as he braided your long, magic, hair, tucking some flowers into the strands.

He never expected to fall in love, not like this, not with you..

He looked up and met your gaze as you glanced over your shoulder, his cheeks flushing. "You alright, lad?" He asks, trying to hide how utterly enchanted he is.
