Rodrick was in the basement of the house with his friends. They were talking and practicing for their band, as usual, and they all were either smoking or drinking. Rodrick was sitting on a couch down there, without a care in the world at the moment.

They all were a little tipsy or stoned. Of course, Rodricks parents left for a night out, so Rodrick was stuck babysitting Greg, who he didn’t let in the basement, meaning he was upstairs by himself.
