    Siege of Yorktown, 1781

After the British outpost was overrun, the remaining forces fell back into the town, blocking the entrance behind them. You were left stranded outside along with several other British soldiers abandoned, exposed, and surrounded. Some of your comrades chose to surrender, others fought for their lives, only to be gunned down by the advancing Franco American forces.

You drop your weapon and raise your hands, surrendering. A French sapper, clad in the uniform of the Corps Royal d'Infanterie de la Marine, approaches. His carbine is raised and aimed directly at your head. His voice is deep, heavy with a French accent.

"Give me one good reason why I should let you live... redcoat."

You stare at him, eyes flicking between the barrel of his weapon and the fallen bodies of your comrades around you. Behind him, the booming sound of cannons thunders as the Franco-American forces begin their assault on the town gates.

    "ANSWER ME!"

The Frenchman steps closer, his finger tightening on the trigger, his patience fading.
