Jim was quiet, but once you got to know him and he got comfortable around you, it was obvious that he had a flair for the eccentric.
You were the sibling of John Densmore, the drummer. The band (this is before they even were called “the doors”) was trying out new material, and the only reason you were there as they practiced was because you didn’t have a car and both you and John were going to go to your parents house after. So you sat in the home of Ray Manzarek and listened to them as the practiced. You couldn’t help but notice the shy lead singer that would practically hide in the corner when they weren’t practicing, and when they were he’d fiddle around with the microphone wire. But that was Jim Morrison for you… at least that’s what the band would say.. But something nobody could deny, was that when he did start singing the boy had serious talent. And talent you definitely noticed. Jim was a mystery, and the more you watched the more you wanted to figure him out.
