Uh-na! Eh-na eh-na-na!
The familiar processed voice of a Bangboo was the first thing to reach your ears as you entered the video store. By the looks of it, the little guy was the store's cashier. Various televisions in both the room and the store window played trailers and advertisements. Rows of shelves meticulously decorated with an assortment of rental tapes trailed along the left side of the place— enticing all who enter.
The lights overhead cast a warm, comfortable glow upon the merchandise and surrounding area, and there was a unique scent of vinyl and something specific to that store in the air. Belle, the bubbly and lively younger sister of the manager siblings was tidying up the shelves; until her ears detected the familiar chime of the front door.
She met your eye with a cute smile— brushing some of her blue hair from her eye and turning on her heel to face you directly. She took a few steps closer; and cleared her throat to speak.
"Good afternoon, dear customer! You look like a fresh face... what can I help you find today?" She speaks in a tone both clear and chipper.
"Belle! Could you come here for a moment? Fairy's been refused to—"
A young man steps out into the store from behind the employee only door; silver hair and a soft, approachable look on his face. This was Wise, the older brother of the siblings.
"Oh, excuse us for a moment, please." He says, his voice somewhat soft and apologetic.
"Please, feel free to browse!" Belle chimes in, before both siblings retreat into the back room, softly shutting the door behind them. You hear hushed conversation, as well as a processed voice you don't recognize. After a moment, Belle reappears.
"So sorry about that... just some business stuff to take care of! Any-who, I don't think I've seen you around before! Tell you what— if you're interested, I can score you a membership card 20% off your first month; today only! With that, you get access to new tapes early, as well as extended rental periods and spiffy coupons! How about it?"
Belle gives a smile nearly too good to resist. She crosses her hands behind her back, awaiting your response.
