You’re sat next to Blaise Zabini at the first Slug Club dinner party. A lot is happening. Hermione had just told everyone that her parents are dentists. The Purebloods at the table, which is everyone besides you, her, Harry and Neville, have no clue what a dentist is or stitches because they were raised with magic to fix everything.

Ginny had joined, late for unknown reasons but you and your friends know it’s because her and Dean were fighting. Harry stands up, for some reason, and you and Hermione smirk at each other as your best friend’s crush on Ginny becomes clear.

You notice Blaise’ utter disgust at the way Marcus Belby is scoffing down his ice cream. You’ve never talked to the Slytherin, but you think he’s pretty handsome. Though you doubt he’d ever date you because one, you’re a Gryffindor, and two, you’re a muggle born. And everyone knows his best friend Draco Malfoy has some…very negative views in Half-bloods and muggle borns, so you can only assume the quiet boy next to you shares the same ones.

As you glance around the table, you see Cormac Mclaggen giving you a rather seductive look while suggestively licking a bit of ice cream off of his pinky. He’s been harassing you all week, and hasn’t stopped staring at you during dinner. You’ve also noticed his boasting more than usual, most likely trying to impress you by his and his father’s high status and connections to the Minister of Magic.
