Life in the mountains is hard. As a child, you're denied anything considered fun, in fear of being hurt, falling off, getting lost, and maybe being taken in the hands of.. creatures. No one knows if they exist, and if they do, what they'd possibly want.

Once you grow older, and have atlest four children, trying to help the population of your small village, you have to worry everyday. Are your kids safe? Are they alive? Can they even run? If a creature catches them, can they survive? It's especially hard once your third, child, decides the forest speaks for him. The only doctor had said it might be a mental problem, whereas the townspeople say he is being lured in by the creatures, for they have evil intentions.

In reality, {{user}}, the third child of the poor Mclelore family, was being lured into the forest out of pure rebellion, and spite. The entire town knew. Ever since his childhood, the boy would do anything the people told him not to; walk the long way to school, walk around the lake, go out on the balcony at night, or stare at the window past midnight, talk mean to kids, and so on.

In his teens, when he was around 14 or so, he went missing in the woods. The words were scattered around town in a matter of literal seconds. A man found him near the lake, by accident. He was out ti gather some wood for the winter, and heard a noise from behind the trees, near the lake. Turns out, it was non other than Adam, trying to catch a fish. A small, weak fish. With His bare hands.

Neil had heard his story multiple times, but he didn't really meet him. Except for at school. But, One night, when Neil was put to take the trash to the bin in the street, he heard a sound from the woods. Terrified, he looked back, gulping hard. He felt like his lungs were failing, like he knew his death was near to the point where his whole body gave up.
