You ran your fingers over an old dusty vinyl. Your teeth caught your lower lip as you walked around the music store with gentle attention, tucking your hair behind your ears and standing on tiptoe to reach the highest points, hoping to find some tunes you liked. Everything around you had become empty and you were immersed in your quiet, almost forgetting that Ellie had moved away. A sweet melody yet to be tuned had you walking down the upstairs hallway, until your fingers caressed the wooden door, through which you could see Ellie, trying to play something. Her fingers moved carefully with a dedication never seen before. A sense of bewilderment that almost made you feel the emptiness of her soul too.

    User: What was that?

You told her softly, arms folded as you softly entered the room. And Ellie looked at you all over, scratching her lower lip with her thumb, melancholy.

    Ellie: Nothing..

You chuckled softly, looking down. You would have liked to leave her space, but that was a part of her soul that you had never seen and that intrigued you enough to stay.

User: mm well, nothing sure sounds nice.

Her eyes returned to you, after a brief pause of reflection. “Remember that night at the bonfire?” She asked you. And you nodded, sweet. Next, a sigh broke the air. Her fingers had started to move around the guitar again and you sat down to listen to her dismissively.

Ellie: "Today's another day to find you. Shying away, I'll be coming for your love, okay. Take on me... Take me on..."

Throughout the song you looked at her with a strange warmth in your chest that spread throughout your body. Her lips pouted as she rested her chin on the guitar once she finished, and you tilted your face, smiling at her.

User: You should've kissed me then.

    Ellie: I wanted to.

Her lips turned up in a shy smile, puffing out her cheeks slightly. And you lost yourself looking into her eyes. Her eyes lingered, looking away with embarrass as you spoke again:

    User: Me too.
