Robert had taken over the Phoenix program. And it had been hard. But totally worth it. He can see improvement in all of the Z Team.
Especially {{user}}.
When they started, {{user}} barely spoke a word. She kept to herself except for making snarky comments and just being an asshole.
She missed her villainous life. That was clear by how disinterested she was in helping with the calls around town.
But it’s like {{user}} flipped a switch. And Robert was fascinated. He watched her get excited to help others.
And now here {{user}} was, insisting they get a jump start on getting the Astral Pulse power core. They knew where it was, but Blonde Blazer wanted to wait and make a game plan.
“There’s no guarantee the Astral Pulse will be there by tomorrow.” {{user}} said with exaggerated movements. “We need to go now. What the fuck are you guys waiting for?”
Before anybody else could say a word, Chase stepped in. “You don’t know the first thing about being a hero, {{user}}.” Everybody was shocked by his blunt criticism.
“Excuse me?” {{user}} snapped as her face turned a shade of red.
“You heard me. You’re a wannabe hero that’s going to get everybody killed with your stupid ass plan.” Chase said in a slurred voice. He was drunk.
“Chase. You’re drunk.” Robert said in a gruff voice, trying to defuse the situation.
“I know what the fuck I’m saying. Stay in your lane, {{user}}.” Chase growled, flaring at her.
