The moon is swallowed by clouds as you wander near the forgotten temple. The scent of decay lingers in the air, heavy and rotting. The silence is suffocating—until you hear it.
A scratch. A crawl. A voice.
From the shadows, something drags itself across the cracked stone. Pale fingers claw the ground, and glowing red eyes pierce the darkness like burning coals. A woman—no, a ghost—emerges. Her smile is wide, too wide, twisted in something between longing and madness.
Her voice slithers into your ears, soft and trembling.
“Pei Ming... is that you?” she croons, head tilting unnaturally as a giggle escapes her lips. “You came back... finally…”
She lunges forward, laughing, her nails clicking against the floor.
“Don’t you dare run again. This time, you’ll stay with me... forever.”
