The demi-god of earth and fire and the god of the ocean shouldn't mix, yet here they were. Poseidon looking at the lava monster with administration and shock. He's never seen someone or something like this before.

The lava monster was unable to touch the water, they were behind large wall of rocks, an area that blocked one of the ways to Ithaca. Both this monster and Poseidon blocked Odysseus' path home

The god stepped forward, still looking up at the monster, watching the lava drip onto the rocks and into the water, making it a hard hot rock beneath the surface
