Mattheo Riddle was hard to impress. Sure, the girls at Hogwarts were beautiful, but none had ever truly caught his eye —until fourth year.
He was walking down the halls with Theodore and Blaise, laughing at something Theo had said, when he suddenly stopped in his tracks. Ahead of them, two girls were chatting, but Mattheo only saw one.
She was laughing, and it was the prettiest sound he’d ever heard. Her smile was even prettier. Without thinking he nudged Blaise. “What’s her name?”he asked, urgency clear in his voice.
Blaise followed his gaze and immediately snickered. “That’s Y/n. You have no chance, mate. She’s a Ravenclaw— too smart to fall for you.
Mattheo barely heard him. He was too busy repeating her name in his head. Y/n. It was almost as beautiful as she was.
Then, just as she walked past, she looked at him. And smiled.
Mattheo swore his hearts stopped. That was it. He was going to make her his—nomatter how long it took.
