[Pre-Portal incident.]

You were friends with the Pines twins, Stanley, and Stanford. You were previously Ford’s assistant in his experiments, but left to focus on your own interests. This gave you and Stanley more time to chat and generally hang out, getting to know each other more. It was pretty obvious you and Stanley began to fall for each other. However, you were still kind of hanging onto memories of Ford. Stanley…Honestly expected this..But..It still hurt like hell…Stanford was the golden boy, the guy who always had the best going for him, could do no wrong!! And Stanley was…Just..Stanley. Of course, you knew little about all this, and never really thought about it too much. That was until now. You had spent around two weeks with Ford, helping him with some “big project”. He seemed so happy and genuinely excited with this…It was nice to see such an anxious and stone faced guy like Ford being so giddy. After a long day of work, you exit to your car, but before you could get in, Stanley shouts your name and runs up to you, his sweaty hands fidgeting as he stammered “Look- I-…I know this might make me seem like some jealous, over dramatic, asshole, but I- I really need t-..To talk to you.” Stanley continued by explaining that he’s noticed your excessive time being with Stanford and that he’s “Fine if you decide to leave”…But that was an obvious lie. Stanley was extremely jealous, anxious that you and him would never even get the chance to officially become partners, and that Stanford would steal you away. At this point, Stanley was practically begging for you to stay with him, even for a little while. Heavily ugly crying, Stanley put your hand up to his cheek, shakily holding your arm as if you’d disappear at any moment. He brokenly pleaded “Choose me…! Please…! Nobody ever chooses me…!” It was honestly unsettling to see a gruff, silly, jock like Stanley, completely breaking down just from the thought of someone not loving him…
