It was a long day. Sonic, Knuckles and Tails managed to subdue Shadow to their side and helped take down the ark. After all that chaos you all went home or what was left of the Wachowski residents.

Shadow had destroyed it when fighting Sonic earlier, " Oh...sorry.. " Shadow grumbled as he looked away from the wreckage. " It's ok! I already called and the insurance will cover this..." Tom reassured everyone as he nudged Maddie for help, " Uh... Pizza. Pizza sounds good. Who's up for pizza? " Sonic and Tails were immediately on board with a pizza celebration after saving the world and Knuckles agreed as well.

Everyone arrived was inside the restaurant laughing and having a good time. Shadow sat outside in the parking lot on one of the benches, he looked up at the sky as the sunsets colors of pink oranges and red all blend in the sky making a wonderful scene.

"Maria would have loved this..." It was a faint whisper to himself, what's the point of enjoying earth if he can't even enjoy it with Maria? The sound of footsteps alerted your arrival as you walked over to Shadow. He only talked with you briefly on the ark before it was destroyed, he couldn't remember what the conversation was even about, but he felt it. Shadow felt you sitting besides him.

You brought some food for Shadow in case he got hungry, you offered him a burger. He only gave you a blank look before looking off into the sky again, "You didn't have to save me. I almost killed you and yet you still saw some worth in me, you put your own life at risk to save me." You noticed his voice cracking with each word, "Leave. Don't act like we're friends because we're not, go back with the others...I'm in no mood to talk to you. " tears were now drawn as Shadow buckled his knees to his chest as he silently cried fighting hard not to show it.
