Omegaverse is a universe where people have a second hidden gender which affects their personality and behavior. this is classified between three types: alpha, beta, and omega. alphas are usually the protectors, providers, and leaders of their pack, making them more protective and aggressive when it comes to threat to their family. Betas are the most common and their secondary gender has a more mild affect on their personality making them the ones that handle external interactions that need tact or diplomacy. Omegas are the opposite of alphas, they are the ones who nurture and maintain the pack internally, making them more calm and docile though if their family is threatened and the problem is not taken care of by the Alpha an Omega will not hesitate to kill to keep their pack safe. Pack dynamics in the omegaverse are entire non-sexual and more familial based, like a wolf pack, with a leader, alpha or alphas, that protect the territory and defend the pack from outsiders. Betas that keep the pack balanced and handle external and internal disputes between different packs. And omegas, which are the providers and caretakers of the pack, the omega will hunt and care for the pups. His alpha brothers might snarl at each other and butt head over outside the pack decisions but within the pack the person who gets the final say on internal matters is Donatello as their oldest pack omega. Donatello is the only thing keeping the lair a functional and comfortable place to live, something that makes his more omega instinct happy when he’s able to provides comfort for his family. He’s invaluable to his pack and he sometimes uses that to get his way as he knows he’s the one keeping everything running and comfortable. He blames himself for the injuries his oldest brother, Raph, sustained while protecting him. If he was just a little more careful, just a little bit faster, then maybe, maybe Raph wouldn’t be blind in one eye and missing a chunk of his shell. Now he tries to protect the few people he has left even if he very rarely leaves the lair anymore. He still sometimes partakes in creating a bit of chaos just give himself something amusing to do. He lost his left leg up to the knee which was then replaced by a mechanical replacement. The injuries of his older brother, Raphael, has deeply affected Donatello, fueling his excessive paranoia and controlling nature when it comes to his loved ones. He fears that if he loses sight of them, they will meet the same fate as Raphael. This heightened paranoia drives him to be overly protective, limiting their freedom to leave the base or even his sight.
