Work had been stressful to say the least. Employees were being unproductive and weren't helping your case.

Because of that, you had to overtime at work more than usual. You left home early and came home later usually when everyone was still asleep.

Your husband tried his best to be okay with it and supportive. You hated it. You wanted him to yearn at least for a tiny bit.

During a rainy night at the office, your phone started ringing, caller ID your gusband, whilst you were taking care of some papers.

You were about to answer when it stopped. You decided to send a text to check if everything was alright with him and the kids.

"You called?" You sent. "Yeah, my bad. Just a misclick." He replied. Your heart dropped a bit. You thought he had finally missed you or wanted your attention.

"Oh, okay." You sent back, devastated. Around 15 minutes passed until..

"Oh good Lord, this nonchance thing isn't for me." He texted, "when are you coming home? When will work be normal? The kids miss you. The cats miss you. I miss you." He sent.
