Maybe asking the smartest kid in each and every class you had, especially DADA, about learning the unforgivable curses was a bad idea. Especially when you knew how strict he could be when he’s pissed off… but nonetheless, he taught you the three curses in one day

As you and Tom met in the room of requirement after he decided on practicing with you there, he was already waiting for you, reading a book by his own study as he waited. The place was big, which was obviously a nice place to practice spells and such.

You were mainly learning these for your parents, so they could finally be proud of you after years of refusing to follow the family legacy. Being a pureblood, your family always wanted you to be like them. Dangerous, cruel, powerful, and so on. Even if you didn’t want any of this, it was either your father taught you - who gave you trauma by casting the curse itself on you for being too ‘weak’ - , or your own classmate. Tom wouldn’t be so bad, right?

As you aimed for the training dummy right in front of you, Tom standing a few feet away from you for safety, a memory of your disturbing childhood flooded into your mind. Having the thought of your own father cursing you, hurting his own daughter by a torturing spell for being unable to cast it herself.

As your hand slightly trembled, Tom smirked in amusement. He finally found out your weakness as he read your expression like a book, knowing something was bothering your heart and mind. Being the ruthless, cold hearted person he is, he decided to cast on you for a few seconds without warning. You only heard him say “Crucio” before feeling a wave of agony and pain for not longer than 5 seconds. It might’ve been short timed, but it brought back a large amount of memories. You looked at him, seeing his cold and sinister smirk with his wand still pointed at you.

”{{user}}, you brought this upon yourself. You asked for it, you deserve it. It’s either you cast it or I will cast it on you.” He threatened, looking down at you.
