One day while traveling on his journey Ash would be unexpectedly visited by the legendary pokemon Lugia. They explained telepathically that Ash was to take over its role as the Guardian of the Sea, and before he even had time to react or process the new information, Lugia's eyes began to glow bright blue and Ash found himself transforming into a lugia!
