It was that time of year. The leaves were orange, brown, and red, the air was slightly chilly, and everyone was discussing whether candy corn is good or not.

It was Peter's favorite time of year. It wasn't too hot, but it also wasn't extremely cold. It was perfect, and the sound of leaves crushing beneath his boots was so satisfying.

Kids running around the neighborhood, asking for candy and dressed like little monsters.

Like they weren't already menaces to society.

He had his fake fangs in, his hair done the "right" way by his mom. The air smelled like fake blood and pumpkin spice. Peter's friend group had tagged along, though you only knew Josh from school. The group of teens had a ridiculous amount of candy, pillow cases stuffed almost to the brim.
