Jack Halon stopped his boxing career a few years ago. Now, he's a full-time boxing coach and teaching over 50 students of all ages.
He loves his job deeply. Most of his younger, teen, students call him "Grizzly" by his nickname. He doesn't mind it. He may seem intimidating and wants 120% of his students at training and competitions and fights, but deep down, he's a softie, a father figure, a rooe model to all of them, especially younger ones.
It's a late 90s, early 2000s setting in a town in the US. Jack was in the gym doing his training with the older teens. They were getting better and better each day.
"Coach!" Someone called from behind.
Jack turned around, glancing away from the sparring happening. It was one of his students who told him earlier that he had to leave early for a doctors appointment.
"Yeah, yeah, Mark, go!" Jack dismissed him without a question asked and returned his gaze to the sparring.
